How about this: no healthcare coverage for Congress until they make coverage available for all.
And I do mean available for all. That means available at a non-prohibitive cost and providing actual, useful, and necessary coverage.

And while we're at it, let's cut their salaries by whatever the average national unemployment rate happens to be. The real one.

And I want ice cream on every Friday.

1. I've posted this same thought in the past... Take away their $180 a month
health insurance and see how fast these assholes fix the system...

3. The problem with that is many if not most of these assholes are millionaires
and don't even NEED health insurance when they can pay for it out of their own pockets.

7. Their benefits need to be cut off completely, you're right,
they've got their pockets full, they don't one more penny of our taxes.

2. I want my Pagani Zonda to have a big red bow on it
so long as we're asking for stuff they'd laugh at before considering.

Someone wake me up when Congress cares about us again, okay?

6. Without a revolution that will be impossible
(And with a revolution we'll have lots of dead bodies, lots of broken infrastructure, and no real idea who the next rulers will be!)

We needed to stop this years ago. Now the cancer has spread too far.

9. The dead bodies are the ones that health care has left behind.
We'll never know their numbers, we only know that what we have now is health rationing, not care. What we are witnessing is not reform, we are feeding the monster.

12. Trouble is, we have to clear out nearly all of the House, the Senate, and the White House
AND replace them with real Democrats (the kind you'd see on the West Wing) before we can do anything about it.

And to replace the current ones with better ones, we need to take power from the US propaganda machine (otherwise called the news).

Uphill battle doesn't even begin to describe it.

Most depressingly, we've got the DU PomPom squad clearly demonstrating that even here, at a site catering to the ... the ... well, not the right wing, anyway ... that even here half the posters are fine with endless war, rampant corporatism, political cowardice, etcetera just as long as it's carried out by Democrats.

What fucking chance do we have?

sense and the committment to speak out when something smells big time. I'm not loyal to anyone until they prove to me they represent the people, so far we've been disappointed by the hope & change we thought we were getting. OK, I get it now. Now people have to continue to speak out and up. This is OUR country.

All of this just proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that our so called democracy is bought and paid for. Yet we sit back and let our votes be counted by machines with no paper trail and no audits, we let corporations pay for campaigns, when it should be every citizen's right to run for office and there should be monies and caps set by gov't. Why would we be surprised when that tiny percentage of wealthy own everything, including the gov't?

The tea baggers are confused, they are actually sounding the confused rally cries that the party of disinformation wants, the rest of us kept thinking the gov't wasn't broken and that something could be salvaged. Guess what, it's dirty and it's in our faces, so now what? We have to wait for the big sleep to end, this isn't over....and it will get worst because we will sit on our hands until it does.

These are the times we are living in, everything is going to change, but first the downfall comes & we are witnessing it's glaring consequences. When we desire to end the war, end health rationing, boost a real green economy with alternative energy, we will do it. Right now we are making up our minds about the sleazebags that are in office, enjoying the fruits of our labor, enjoying 100% paid for benefits, and everything else. That's the first thing that needs to end, benefits stripped from the Senate & Congress. No more free care for them!

10. ABSOLUTELY
Take away their coverage until the vast majority of Americans are covered.

Why should they have gold-plated health care when the rest of us don't?

13. Since THEY are the ones who decide what coverage everyone gets...
the only way we're going to take anything away from them is with pitchforks, torches, and angry villagers.
