When our President does his dog and pony show after he signs the bill... |
|
and he gives his speech outlining the details, and he talks about "reform" and "change"...he is going to look like a goddamn fool to anyone having more than a passing interest in health care reform.

1. And the right wing of DU will drag out the "Don't Let The Perfect Be The Enemy Of The Good" canard. |

3. I have good health insurance through work |
|
the people hurt worst if no bill passes are those who would have got their health insurance paid for (low incomes) or those who have pre-existing conditions and can not get coverage or those who work for small companies and can not join pools of people for inexpensive insurance coverage, or those who have insurance but due to a serious illness will go over their yearly and life time limits.
For the time being - I'm fine with or without a bill - my brothers and sisters in the categories above - not so much.

what will you say if your job evaporates and the ins with it. Do you actually think you are telling anyone anything they don't already know who has no ins? Without a bill your ins may go way up freakoid.

but if he signs this bill as is, that will be the last thing out of my mouth.
letting perfect be the enemy of the good is scuttling any reform just because it isn't single payer.
but this, this, there is no good to be the enemy of.
