1. That is why he is not still chairman of the dnc...or will he get any
position in this WH as long as we have rahm in the WH..he dislike all progressives...the DLCers now have the WH...and including Hillary

6. When he was elected to the senate, his name appeared on the DLC
membership list. He objected, and it was removed.

Even better question.... if the DLC hadn't sabotaged Dean in 2004 and he was about to go into the 6th year of his Presidency, how much better off would this country be right now?

Health care would have been a done deal by 2006. Iraq would have been long over. Probably Afghanistan too. And you wouldn't have Rahm, Benedict Lieberdouche, or Timmy the Elf calling the shots.

7. Yes.
The DNC chair has very little to do with the day-to-day workings of the Democratic caucus in either House. He's a fundraiser, a talking head, and a cheerleader.

Modern senators are essentially independent contractors -- they don't rely on the Party for much. They have independent fundraising apparatus, huge staffs, etc.

Obama's having the same problem with his barons that King John had when they made him sign Magna Carta.
