you fucking spineless piece of shit. Thanks for injecting more jello into Reid's spine to stand up to that turd Lieberman. What Lieberman wants, Lieberman gets. I thought we had 60 votes? What a fucking joke.....

2. You "spawned" a poll. Thanks and sorry.
Your post caused me to think of what it was about Rahm that bugs the crap out of me.

3. Rahm is getting exactly what he wanted
protection of the insurance companies at our expense. We should be thanking Obama for listening to the little creep.

7. I can aready see a GOP commercial featuring Rahm saying "Getting
the deal done--is more important than getting it right."

I hope he is correct. I have my doubts. Too many Americans
have followed this story. The GOP(as much as I hate to admit)
have really thrown the monkey wrench in this with their
consistent drumbeat against it. No push back by Democrats
and I fear the people believe all the stories that have been
put out there. There are things that will make people angry.
Taxing the people for years before they get healthcare is
not an easy sell to Democrats.

8. The thing is, it's the so-called "Democrats" that have managed to whittle
this bill down to what it is today. Democrats compromising with themselves. The only thing the Repukes can do is scream NO and vote against it. WE have 60 votes. WE also have reconciliation. Squandering this majority for a piece of shit bill.

11. It seems so strange that no one even suggests
the idea that to get something to reconciliation it has to get out of the Senate.

The public option could be in the reconciled bill since it is in the House bill and joe lieberman will not be in that room. Then it just needs a simple majority to pass.

I could be wrong of course and it's not stopping me from continuing the fight. If they planned to do this they sure couldn't talk about it or joe and friends would not vote for it at all.

Is it really easier to believe that Obama wants his legacy to be a bill with no price protections that will be bad for people who have to buy it and devastating to the budget over time just to please industry friends...
tha that they just need the bill out of the Senate so they can fix it?

13. That would require some political backbone which our Democratic leadership
does not have. I'm all for reconciliation but somehow, getting the mythical 60 votes is more important than getting a good bill.
