Yes there are a lot of things that have been positive such as signing the Lily Ledbetter act.

However, the problem I have is the way that the progressives have been dismissed. We have to change our positions. We are the bad guys who will stop health care selfishly when there are other groups just as complicit. We aren't considered in the calculus of dealing with an issue.

There is little indication that any of our issues or concerns are seriously considered on any level. If they are considered, it is as a nuisance.

This is what has worn me out and made me so angry. We aren't given the dignity of a decent reply. We aren't given the dignity of an acknowledgment that we do matter.

There is little else some people are trying to hold on to. Dignity means a great deal. They aren't taking my dignity away because I can only let them do that. However, they don't have to step all over it.

4. Another DUer astutely pointed out
that when we complain about the lack of progress in challenging the status quo, we are told to sit down & shut up. When we threaten to withhold our vote in future elections, we are critical to the success of the party & if the dems lose, it will be our fault.   For so long the dems have taken advantage of our vote, but I suspect they are going to find out that they can't have it both ways anymore.

I send the above message to the White House & my senators & rep at least once a month, but I don't think they are listening.
