Walmart Employee Gets Job Back After Santa Hat Standoff
Walmart Employee Gets Job Back After Santa Hat Standoff

WHITEHALL, Ohio — A Walmart employee who said she was fired over the weekend for refusing to wear a Santa hat has her job back.

Michelle Laam, who works part-time at the Whitehall Walmart, told 10TV that she and two other employees were told to wear the Santa hats or they would be fired.

Laam refused.

"I was basically given a directive, wear the hat or be terminated," Laam said. "I said I'm not going to wear the hat, and I'm not going to quit so you do what you have to do."

Laam said she did not have a moral issue with the hat, but felt she has to speak up for those who did.

"That's their job," Laam said. "That's their livelihood and they don't have the option that I have, so I felt as if I was the only person who had the ability to take a stand on it."

3. Walmart could have offered Christmas bonuses for wearing the hat...
if they wanted them that badly.

4. Wal-Mart management is gone off the rail
They think they are running sweatshops in the early 19th century.

5. Who the hell do these damn Delta-class workers think they are?
Next, they'll be making outrageous demands like getting paid for overtime, or affordable healthcare or - heaven forbid - a union!
