At any given time there are (literally) countless events happening. Personal lives, interactions between neighbors, business deals, tasks of workers, financial transactions, love-making, etc.

When individuals act, there is a plethora of motives and reasons behind those actions. The universe of motives and reasons for individual actions is (almost) infinite.

So, that's reality, and truth. The reality and truth of existence can not be comprehended in its entirety by any human being. One concept that comes close to it (in the abstract) is the rare event when through meditation an individual comes close to Nirvana, and is able to connect to the concept of Oneness (just being, no time, no space, all-knowing, serene, fearless).

It may be possible to seek that state through many spiritual avenues and beliefs, but that's not the topic of this diary, so I'll move on...

Just like our vision (what you see with your eyes) is programmed to take in just enough information so our brains can then make sense of what we are looking at (leaving out a huge amount of data), our comprehension capability, and intellect is programmed to deal with just enough information to keep us alive and thriving (or surviving) in our environments.

So our personalities, our beliefs, our perspectives, our conclusions, our world vision, are shaped by the information we are exposed to (our mothers as babies, our families, our language, country, our culture, friends, schools, and media outlets).
