add Kerry to the list... (who co-sponsored this earlier this year).

This was clearly killed by the WH. All these people voted for the same bill two years ago, when Bush was president.

6. Lost! 51-48. But wait! there's more - the Lautenburg amendment

which is the Dorgan amendment with a safety clause.

Maybe this one will pass.

This explains a lot of the weird previous vote. Maybe some of the Dems were waiting for this in order to vote yes?

11. There is a Lautenberg amendement coming up that includes

the Dorgan amendment with the stipulation that Health and Human Services certifies that reimported drugs are certified safe. They're voting on it now.
