One of the first things the reader needs to do is to change her mindset. Even if health care legislation were to pass with a robust public option, and a guarantee to cover 45 million uninsured Americans, the bill would still be a pathetic gesture by the corporatist government in charge of the country, if compared with every single developed country in the world. Think about that for a second...

Obama, and most of the United States congress are beholden to their corporatist bosses. This is a truism, and reality. I'm not sure what is it going to take for people to realize this. The sooner a massive segment of the progressive movement (and any other people of good will) realize this, the sooner we can come up with an effective strategy to remove the deadly chokehold the corporatists have on our government, and the country.

You are being distracted and manipulated. There is a war being waged against you--the decent, hard-working American--and some of the tactics include the use of decoys.

Your emotions have manipulated during the last several months by a corporate-owned media. False and/or phony constructs have been developed to make aim your firepower at false targets. That way you will spend all your energy focused on something meaningless.

All the main players, including Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and many other "leaders" of the Democratic party have known the outcome all along. Everything else has been a big show.
