A 2000 page Health Care reform bill. What the fuck is in it?
Edited on Tue Dec-15-09 07:50 PM by madinmaryland
There is no:

- Single Payer Health Care plan
- A public option
- Medicare for everyone.
- Medicare for 55 and above.

What the fuck is in there?

- Abolishment of pre-existing conditions?
- Abolishment of the ability of Ins. Co's to drop coverages at will?
- Abolishment of the Ins. Co's anti-trust exemption.
- Government regulation of the Ins' Co's.

Or is this it:
- A blank check to the insurance companies.
- A blank chack to Big Pharma.
- A blank check to Wall Street.

Hmmm.

My guess is the third option.

20. I think they kept the requirement to cover preexisting conditions
but they didn't put a limit on how high the mandated premium will be for covering them.

3. Mandates! Mandates! Mandates as far as the eye can see!
It is 2000 pages with ONE WORD on each page: MANDATE!

O woe! O ignominious defeat! O would that it had never been born!

LIEberman mandating the Ins. CO's and Big Pharma.

4. Kill the fucker.
I agree with Kos. This thing has become a piece of shit. A few days ago I was willing to support it, but this is a side step, not a step forward. Fucking cowards. I wish we could just get rid of Congress in lieu of a Parlimentary system. They're relatively useless.

8. Your third guess is correct!
I could've lived with guess #2 without a public option/medicare buy-in, etc.

Guess #3 is a travesty, a betrayal, a blank check to the powers that be.

12. Silly me.
I thought #2 would be automatically be part of it.

But yes, we will get #3. (and the fucking teabaggers will be rejoicing that they have killed HCR). The irony abounds for those assholes.
