Obama has set the trap. He instructed Rahm to cave, give Lie%$& whatever he wants. |
|
That was the last straw. He found a common enemy to focus on. Lieberman. He has taken away all criticism that he rams it home. Now, we can reconfigure, and go straight for the goal. We will get in the streets, so to speak, and push Obama. We suck. We expected him to shoulder the entire load, while we pop a brewsky. He has thrown down the gauntlet to lobbyists, and wall streaters. He can show strength finally. We are PISSED. Finally. I feel that telling to placate lieberman totally, hookers, the works, shows that it is a trap. I HOPE!

6. Uh, ya, he set a trap then decided to check how touch the trigger was... |
|
Obama isn't able to think beyond the end of his nose; the idea he set a "trap" to me sounds like, ya, he stepped on the spring to set the trap, engaged the trigger of the trap, released his foot from the spring, then decided to check with his finger how much preassure it took on the trigger to spring it......
Ya, Obama.... Smart guy......not.

8. I don't think Obama does double-bankshot calculations like that. He was simply too nice. |
|
But that said, I am glad that we're getting angry. Like you, I want us to be constructively angry. I agree we've been too passive. We're at war. It's time we started digging some trenches.

11. Would you instruct Rahm to bow and scrape to Lieberman? |
|
It doesnt make sense. Obama has been a community organizer. You think that stuffed shirts gave his answer to Acorn a free ride? He has suffered resistance. Cmon. And we allowed Grassley to mouth off, about Obamas weakness, and his scamming all of us. Obama is setting up to get loud. Until now, it was seen as scary black man. Now, we have allowed the socalled ones pronemost to compromise. We have gone thru two of them seriously. Now, we can put the lie to any criticism of being patriarchal, or fascist. And WE are pissed, arent we?

14. Not as bad as your thought process |
|
Your thinking is delusional. Sorry, but the president did not let a shitty bill run this far down the track just for the sake of getting us pissed off. Your thinking is backward. He is, by nature, an accommodationist, a negotiator, a legislative horse trader. That doesn't work in Washington like it did for his eight years in the Illinois Senate. He's playing a pretty straightforward game and always has. I'm sorry you can't see that.
True, now it's biting him in the ass. But then again, he said last year we have to hold his feet to the fire. We didn't, or at least not enough of us. I sure didn't do my part. But I won't make believe he's a stage magician about to pull a decent healthcare bill out of his ass. I can't pretend that he let the whole process go to shit just to give us all a little more drama in our lives. If that's how you see it all, you simply lack objectivity.

22. Sorry, you don't get to make this argument about me. |
|
How smart someone is has nothing to do with it. You're ignoring facts; you're ignoring Obama's experience and his track record deal making in his entire record of public service. In it's place you offer a fantasy about him planning some 11th hour cavalry charge of the people rising up and demanding a better bill. I'm sorry, he didn't throw the first two thirds of the game just to make the big finish more exciting.
You're simply not thinking right. The poster below says it perfectly: you're in the bargaining phase.

do they name hime socialist, or other name, and to go straight for the goal, meets incoherent opposition. It dissipates, and then the adults take over. Would YOU feel that they, screaming commie at you, would oppose HCR? CMON. Give me a break.
And to top it off. My belief, has me calling for to stop singin', and start swingin'. Youall want to curl up in a ball. Had we scared the SHIT outta themall, with our resolve, all would be different.

16. Unfortunately, when Lieberman reached 10th level as a rogue, he picked up the Improved Evasion Feat. |
|
Worst case scenario- Lieberman takes half damage from the trap. As a 15+ level rogue (with all those years as a politician, I'm sure he's at least 15th level, possibly even Epic Levels by now)... his reflex saves, however, are liable to be so friggin' high, that unless he rolls a 1, he's not gonna even get scratched.
