1. As much as I hate that it's been gutted, I say pass what they can and build on it in the future.
I guess it's the "half-a-loaf" rationalization.

the worst recession since the 30's.

6. I refuse to forget the 50+ million people who do not have insurance...
and who will for the lack of insurance.

I refuse to support the Republicans and Insurance companies in their drive to kill this bill.

I've noticed my type of progressivism is on the wane here.

10. Your bill doesn't forget them, it just f*cks them! Pay or Punish crapsurance is not reform.

12. Actions have consequences.
We either support reform, or we support fucking 50+ million people.

I support reform.

Everybody else can decide which they prefer.

15. Forcing people to buy crapsurance that will never pay a dime to cover them for an illness IS
screwing them - hard.

Especially when they are fined if they don't pay.

17. Is there ANY line you will not cross to support this bill?
What if the final bill is the senate bill + Stupac ammendment? What if it is senate bill + Stupac + lifetime caps? I understand you are OK with the bill as it is now (and that is your right) - I am asking is there is anything that will sway your support from a bill with "health care reform" in the title?

11. So the American people are supposed to bend over and take one...
for the Commander and Chief? I just can't believe he is trying to sell this gift to the insurance industry as reform.

14. No, this is still just the Senate version. We need to get to the final version to decide
just how bad it really is.

Besides, we can always pass another one through reconciliation after we get this ont through.
