I got a Christmas card from the White House. |
|
Were these sent to people who worked on Obama's campaign? They were signed by both Michelle and Barack I would guess by those signing machines. Anybody have any info?

I've never known someone who got a card from the White House...just wondering how and why I got one.

3. Did you donate to the Obama campaign? |
|
If so, I would want my money back. Good thing I didn't donate. I don't donate to politicians.

6. Didn't donate...no money to spare. I worked a couple |
|
of days toward the end of the campaign driving people around and volunteered to drive people to the polls but nobody needed a ride.

13. They sent a letter and Christmas cards to my son when he was a little boy |
|
Son was upset that developers were chopping down trees to build new houses. He just knew President Clinton could stop it, so he wrote the president. He wanted to give Clinton a gift, & he only had a stick of gum, so he included it in the envelope (try to do that today!)
Son got a letter back from the president sympathizing with, and praising him about caring about trees; and he thanked him for his generous gift. The letter included a simplistic explanation of why, as president, he could not interfere. I forget the analogy, but it was spot on, and appropriate for a seven or eight year old.
That Christmas, and subsequent Christmases while Clinton was in office, son got a card from the Clinton family.
Many thanks to the White House staffer who put my son on their Christmas card list - they made son one very happy little boy!

for them and contributed to them.

4. The chimp mailed out >1 million Christmas cards in 2003 |
|
Obama's list must have hundreds of thousands, at least.

5. Probably. Or you gave money to the campaign. |
|
My mom gave money to Clinton's campaign in 1992 and every year received a card from the Clintons.
