Lieberman Threatens To Go GOP In 2012, Torpedoing All Hopes Of Getting To 60 On Healthcare
Healthcare holdout Joe Lieberman tells CNN (via Megan McArdle) he may run as a Republican in 2012.

What's going on here?

Basically he's sending the GOP a VERY clear message. If I vote against healthcare, you guys give me some kind of seniority in the caucus when I go turncoat.

If the GOP makes the promise, then it's all over.

He's doing a great job though right now of disrupting the party's by Christmas plan.

Oh, and the talking point today from the White House will be bashing Howard Dean.

8. Well Dr. Dean isn't as interested in as having a million dollar job when he retires from activism
The rest of them look to two things, their re-election and their employment after their career in politics.

In both cases, they don't believe the masses dictate either.

18. What would be great is watching Republicans on election day
Put on coat. Sit down. Take off coat. Drum tabletop. Put on coat. Open door. Close door. Sit down. Drink coffee. Fidget...

...because the GOP put a baby-killing, tree-hugging Jew on the top of the ticket.

12. Remember 2000 when he was our V.P. candidate?
I have a lot of respect for Al Gore, but that has to be the stupidest decision the man has ever made. It really tarnishes some of the admiration I have for him.

16. The Al Gore of 2009 is a different man than the Al Gore of 2000
Al went along with a lot of things that tarnish him more in my eyes than Lieberman. NAFTA coming to mind. I can youtube the debate with Ross Perot at anytime to see Ross Perot being right, and Al Gore being dead wrong.

15. Reid would probably just apologize for getting in the way of the spit.
Then in the name of bipartisanship, Reid would announce that they've reached a compromise that would allow our government to spit in all of our faces.

Yep... I'm pretty cynical, tired and pissed off today.

who cares??? F**k him... the bill is "nonato" dead at birth... we all should ask our leadership to kill the bill and start all over on the right foot... and Obama should introspect himself, his attitude and erratic position... he has failed... period! Maybe there is salvation for him in the end...right now he is for the birds!!!

19. I'm just tired of the S.O.B.
I think we need to torpedo him, and as a party? Throw everything we have into a Democratic Candidate next time around. Everything. I don't care if we lose every single other seat in the Senate as long as HE IS GONE. And I'm beyond po'd that President Obama is not publicly calling him out as the piece of shit as he is.

I really think VP Biden needs throw a 'f*ck you' at him on the Senate floor. Go all Cheney and crazy like on him.
