Call Janet Napolitano into the White House. Offer her another job. Ambassador or something else. She is the present Homeland Security Chief.

Offer that job to Joseph Lieberman, effective the first of the year. Make sure his replacement supports healthcare reform. And bring the bill back up after January with the votes to pass it. Promote Joe.

...offer him nothing and take away everything he has. He is going to the repuke party next election anyway. I am resigned to the fact the bastard is a repuke already. Replace his vote with another couple of pick-ups next election and we're in there! If we make a final push to attain a couple of more seats in the senate, we can laugh his way into nothingness and render the blue dogs toothless!

The whole idea of working with these blue dogs gave the Party a false sense of security when they were nothing but a trojan horse, ready to kill the Party at the disignated time. We never had 60 votes we could work with. They have caused more damage than good, in my opinion. FWIW.
