I seem to recall during the 1994 storming of Congress by the GOP that |
one Bill came to pass about "unfunded mandates" Maybe it was just the sound bite of the day but I recall some effort to make a law about it. Did it ever come to pass and how would it effect the purchasing mandate for Health Insurance?

1. The Unfunded Mandates Act of 1995 is about states receiving mandates from the federal |
government. Has nothing to do with health insurance for individuals.

2. IOW "unfunded mandates" are just fine for the people but not for the states? |
The "states" are afterall just the people...

3. Ah, but health insurance for those up to 400% of the poverty level is funded in both the |
House and Senate versions by providing subsidies for premiums.
