I'd like to think he's going to pull this one out of the fire, somehow, but at this point I'm not hopeful nor do I expect I should be. Ya'll remember the "Dry Powder Gang"? Those Democrats who caved to Bush on torture, keeping their "powder dry" for the supposed big fights? That became an emblem for a long time of what I felt was wrong with the party. Now, I realized the powder wasn't being kept dry, it was being used.
