...so in the meantime, while those of us WITHOUT healthcare continue to get sick...
Edited on Wed Dec-16-09 04:04 PM by Blue_Roses
our Congress--who DOES have healthcare--continues to whine, bitch, moan, throw toddler-temper- tantrums, spew lies, eat, drink, and f***! When will the "children" grow up:eyes:

I know I missed something so feel free...:argh:

5. Or commit a small act of vandalism and go to jail.
They have to give you health care if you are incarcerated.

3. Not only that but they have a doctor's office on the premises of Congress to
go to if they are feeling a little off color.

4. They are completely out of touch with reality
They're so far removed from the people they allegedly represent, that they depend on lobbyists and 'advisors.' And then they're shocked when things don't go their way.

11. I said that very thing yesterday... they are insulated and thus deluded.
Our every day lives are completely foreign to them.
And, they have so much fucking money in their silk pockets
and Gucci purses from their corporate lords they need
not bother their "beautiful minds" with our lives in the trenches.

Damn them all, with very few exceptions.

7. Yeah exactly. That's why this bill is better than nothing, despite what pie in the sky people
like Dean say. It's a vast improvement on what we have now.

13. If we had a free media, this would not be happening.
Our media was our Fourth Estate. It prevented us from being sold dow n a road of slavery to Corporate Interests.

When the Nixonian war interests were too much for the soul of One Daniel Ellsberg to bear, and he broke with his employer the Rand Corporation to release the Pentagon Papers, Eighteen various newspapers and news orgs promoted that release. Despite the serious possibility of jail time for the editors and owners!

Yet who on this board has turned on any M$M channel in the last four years and heard our Talking Heads breech a discussion of how decent Single Payer Universal HC would be?

Surveys show that the ubiquitous ad placements for various Bug Pharma products are not effective - but the real reason for those ads is to keep the local news stations from running with the truth about health care. In exchange for X amount of 100's of thousands of dollars, the news stations only promote the Big Medical Industry's side of the story.

If we had a free media, they would have analyzed the Sound Bytes that Obama used to switch us from the USPHC that we all hoped for when we voted for him to the absolute disgusting swill we are now being offered. Had we a free media, then the very second that Obama switched from his 2004 Senate Race slogan of "We will have Single Payer Universal HC in this nation, as it is the only solution to the problem. And all we need to get there is a majority in the House and the Senate and a Democrat in the Oval Office" to his ridiculous illogical "We would be able to go for SPUHC if ONLY we did not already have another system in place."

But there are no longer any Ben Bradlees or New York Times editors doing their jobs of telling the truth. Instead the Corporate Person owned news conglomerates feed us the message of how what the Real People in the USA want is to rally around the flag as Tea Baggers!
