My conversation with Lieberman's office
I swear to God, his aide told me it was ok for young people who are not eligible to be on their parents plan to be uninsured if they can't afford private insurance because " we have never had a public option in this country. Let's just forget Medicare for a moment. The logic of the argument escapes me- at some time we had no running water, electricity or antibiotics. We had slavery, disenfranchised women etc. Do we wanna go back there?
The man is just such a corporate whore. I can't believe that was their line. It is mind boggling.

1. Lieberman like Tiger
have lived in a different world - where they make their own rules, and live ego-centric lives.

2. I hate to say this, but GWB was right when he said...
We already do have a public option... we have the option to sit in an emergency room and wait to be seen behind hundreds of others without insurance. "We the People" pay for that anyway, and it's wasteful. All we're trying to do here is set up a system to pay on the front end so it's not so expensive, or disruptive to the service of others.

3. Never had a public option is pretty stunning ignorance in and of itself
not to mention the gap in logic you mention.

7. That's mind boggling.
Jim the recent college graduate gets hit by a car and immediately needs to file for bankruptcy. Good luck on the job search. Lieberman is an insurance company whore and nothing more.
