Poll question: Who's Correct: Krugman or Dean (or Obama or Teabaggers)?
Dean says the HCR bill as it stands http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x4186675"> is Obama's wet kiss to the insurers and should be killed.

Krugman says http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/12/16/illusions-and-bitterness/">it's craptacular but worth voting for.

Obama says the bill totally rocks or some such thing.

The teabaggers say it's still a Trotskyite takeover of our precious bodily fluids.

I'm having a tough time choosing between Dean and Krugman, although I think I give the edge to Dean because he's a creature of politics and may better understand some of the political subtleties. But Krugman's also almost always right.

Which view gets your vote?

1. Actually Dean said kill this bill and take another route - reconciliation...
He didn't say we should give up on doing something.

3. Good Point
Has he weighed in on what to do absent a reconciliation followup? Should the thing get killed anyway?

9. I don't know if it is an ego thing or something else, but they better start listening
to the progressives in their party, and rework the HCR bill

2. I'd go with Krugman on this one. I wouldn't vote for it, but I would vote for cloture.
That's out of the principle that I don't like the filibuster.

5. Wow. I'm Shocked By These Results!
I would have bet 40%/20%/30%/0% or something in that range.

This is very interesting.

10. Other - Kucinich - limited public option and mandates were already ...
a gift to the insurance companies.
