Poll question: The bottom line, will you or won't you sit out the 2010 and possibly 2012 elections
if the Obama administration continues to cave into the LIEbermans, Blue Dogs, Health Care and Pharma industries on HCR and doesn't include a Public option, buy in or reigning in of the industry, refuses to prosecute Bush, Cheney and Gonzalez, and basically pushes equal rights for ALL people aside. There are DOZENS of other bills and promises going to hell in a hand basket, but it is unnecessary to list them all.

The first vote is my vote, and it isn't positive.

13. I HEARTILY second that!
The first year isn't yet over, but I already sense a lemming-like desire on some here, to sulk in the tent of "Lofty Principles"! And the Teabag Taliban will be gloating over how they "single-handedly brought down that Kenyan Pretender!"

THINK!

18. I agree. The party was very badly weakened by the 1994 disaster and
still hasn't fully recovered - a second disaster would simply weaken the party even further.

7. I will show up at the polls and file a blank ballot if I have to
I would encourage everyone to not just stay home but show up even if you don't mark your ballot for anyone. I've seen candidates pore over the election results trying to figure out why X number of voters turned out but only Y number of voters cast a ballot in their race. If you just stay home, they'll blame you for being "too lazy" to show up. If you show up and still don't vote for them, they might get the message.

I will only vote for real progressives - no more "lesser of two evils" for me. The lesser of evils is still evil - even if it has a "D" after its name.

35. Well....
As disappointed as we may be today with Democrats, it is no where even close to how bad it would if were Republicans. As it stands, those really are your only feasable choices in our system. so, go ahead and do not vote to show your disapproval, but then you will just help it become republican controlled. Best to be careful not to be the one holding the gun to your own head...saying "I am going shoot myself because you dissappointed me". Not voting is just that, self destructive type of action and competely self defeating. Better to carefully recruit Dems who are really Dems...and then vote for them. But Vote!

30. 50% of the population does EVERY election, are they criminals?
The 2010 election will bring people out to vote AGAINST Dems for smelling up the joint so badly, JUST like they did in 1994 wen the Pukes steamrolled us and went on to 12 years of corrupt and spectacularly bad government including the most criminal and stupid president in history, but the people were bamboozled by their PR machine and caved into the fear they preached.

It will happen again in 2010 I am almost certain.

I think those of us that are actively participating need to vote. What we need to do is get progressive dems to run against our incumbents and we need to make sure they win.

We also need to crush the likes of Lieberwhore and any Dems standing in the way of progress.

Does he control Lieberman and the others?

Do they need him to cave in to be the assholes that they are???

The poll you see, does not include the average people out there, who aren't very interested to begin with.

My Senator, Maria Cantwell, hasn't been one of the culprits in gutting the health care bill. My Congressperson is a republican, so I'll vote against him. In the presidential election, it depends. I'd consider voting third party or leaving that space blank, or I might just vote for Obama again. He still has three more years to earn my vote, but he won't get it if he continues catering to corporate interests and shows no real progress toward getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan.

44. By sitting out the shadowy and elusive "They" who run the country
will understand the nature of my dissatisfaction and will adjust accordingly to improve their performance. I could support a primary challenger to an unresponsive Representative or Senator, or I could vote third party, but constructive action towards a clearly defined goal is so unfashionable.

And when you consider that it's pretty much guaranteed that there will be nothing of interest at the local, county, or state level on any ballots anywhere in the country, abstaining from voting is the only logical course of action.

they didn't expect and kicked him out of office, Clinton supporters got a sane economic policy that provided a lot of jobs to middle and lower class people, Bush supporters got their batsh*t crazy neo-con foreign policy wars and massive military debt (hope you liked it morans), with Obama I thought the smallest bone we would get would be the Public Option.

If his core supporters don't even get a small bone thrown their way he will not get a second term.

66. 95% of you who voted Yes will change your mind..
the second you see "PALIN" on the Ballot above or below Obama. I 100% guarantee it.. hate the HC bill, hate the troops in Afghanistan, and then think about how much worse it would be if she was running the joint.

And if you're one of the "ohh.. Palin won't make it in 1000 years" then insert whatever Republican Candidate of your choice that you think WILL win, and ask yourself if you think that's a better option.

I don't agree with 100% of the decisions Obama's making.. but I do agree with about 70%. He's trying. Any republican in there is going to be about 90% against what I would vote for.

Act tough now.. scream, shout, pout.. but by November, 2012 95% will have come to their senses here.

68. I'm not happy now, but I'm going to wait and see. If things don't get better...
I will either sit out or vote third party.

69. Never!
My congressman is John Lewis; even though that seat is his till he dies or retires, I will vote for him. I also will happily vote against Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson, every time.

Anyone who doesn't vote has no right to complain!

70. If the election were held today, I would not waste my time.
But I hope that between now and 2010 or 2012, something will convince me otherwise. But right now, I'm not all that optimistic.

72. I agree. I am not optimistic. my state elected a Puke for Governor
they'll see how bad he is, but they punished Corzine for a bad job so the end result is a tie.

71. Thank god you don't work for a polling company.
Why create a reverse poll?
Why create a poll which has no question in entire poll but has yes/no answer?

Why not same something like?
I will be voting in 2010
I will not be voting in 2011
etc
etc
etc

77. Next year we decide on governor, senator and reps
There are already GOP McCain campaign retreads running for the first two positions (Whitman and Fiorina): I can't wait to vote against them.

Too bad Lieberman's not up again until 2012: this would be a good time to dump him and the people who think like him.
