Here's her last two paragraphs today (Dec 17) in the NYT OpEd:

I used to cover Lieberman when he was the majority leader of the State Senate in Connecticut. We got along very well, except for one interview, during which he talked about working for J.F.K., and how he kept a Mass card from Robert Kennedy’s funeral to remind him of the principles to which he had dedicated his career. Showing me the card, he remarked casually that he hadn’t looked at it for some time.

I wrote an article using the neglected Kennedy card as a metaphor for Lieberman’s fall from his old ideals into the pragmatic politics of a party leader. He was outraged and wounded, and I believe I apologized.

Taking back the apology now.

I will go into a Catholic church, me -- a collapsed Catholic (one step beyond lapsed) -- and I will get a Mass card and send it to Lieberman.

Although I don't think it will shame him, it's not a bad idea.

1. ... maybe the principle the mass card reminds him of ...
.... is to be a good corporate shiller for the Military Corporate Complex or be eliminated at any cost as was done to the Kennedys and the liberal movement in the 60's.

2. Oh, that's an interesting twist.
Of course, both of us are assuming he (a) can think that deeply and/of (b) can feel anything for anybody other than himself
Either way... he's devoid of any class.
