2. want to throw a name out there?
I doubt if you would see much support for Baucus, Nelson, and Lincoln.

However, there may some acceptable candidates.

Hard to answer your question in it's present form.

10. In a shocking development,
Joe Lieberman has again declared himself a Democratic Party member and has thrown himself into the presidential primaries.

8. The primaries are NOT being held today. President Obama
is still the President of The United States, and will be for some time. Save it for 2011.

17. Depends who the challenger is.
I would certainly vote for the challenger if it was somebody I thought was a worthy nominee. I think primaries are the only chance you have to vote with your heart. I didn't vote for Obama in the 2008 primary but I did in the GE because I thought he was better than the alternative.

21. Obama and if a real poll in the real world of democrats were done he would easily win renomination
among democrats. Look at all the polls even now he has over 80% approval among Dems. I'm disappointed by his stand on health care, but I sure don't see anybody out there who could beat him or be elected in his stead--Dean couldn't (and I was for him in '04) and DK certainly could never win a general election let alone a primary.

26. Well...I voted for Hillary in the primaries...
Assuming the primaries were being held today and we didn't know who President Obama was, I think I'd still go with Hillary.

In an ideal situation...we'd be looking at President Schweitzer. But given that the Republicans are going to stonewall any Democratic attempts to fix anything, he probably wouldn't be able to get anything more done than Obama has been.

29. Impossible to answer. In point of fact, I voted for HRC...
...because I was afraid that Obama's amateur experience would be a disaster. In particular, I was afraid he wouldn't know where enough of the bodies were buried to be able to coerce votes in Congress. He's treating governance like it was a civics lesson or like a School House Rock video and not like back-stabbing hyena pit that it is.
