I don't even know what to think or who to root for anymore. The Rethugs are still threatening to kill the bill, which at this point I would think would be a good thing. Reid, apparently acting on orders from high will bend until he gets the votes, but what the Hell else can be given up short of abolishing Roe V. Wade to these fuckers. Right now I'm in the camp that wants to kill this whole bill dead and start over. With hopefully our President showing a little backbone on what he should be demanding from HCR.

1. The only problem with your post...

...is that you think our President is not showing backbone. But he is showing backbone. He's showing he can stand up to the majority of the population who want a public option, or even single payer. He is having no trouble at all standing up for his principles in this case.

The problem is, his principles seem to be preserving the profits of the large corporations on the backs of the middle class and working poor.

Other than that, I think you've got it pegged.
