Not that I expect it to do any good whatsoever..........
Senator, While the final bill has yet to come to fruition, I am writing to express my dismay with the developments thus far. We seem to somehow have an endless supply of money for the implements of war and military excursions about the globe, yet we must compromise away the healthcare needs of our people to achieve the appearance of "fiscal responsibility". I find this simply beyond reprehensible and unworthy of the alleged principles of the Democratic Party. This is the party of FDR, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson & Carter, a party with the mandate that "we the people" put in the majority. To not bring forth a healthcare bill that provides single payer or at the very least a vibrant public option is not only a disgrace, but an insult to the heritage of the party and the people who worked to support Democrats both in this state and across the country.
I also emailed Congressman Clay (MO 1) and asked him not to support a final bill lacking a Public Option.
I am sure that this is a waste of time, but I can't think of anything else to do
