George and Laura LOVED Rich LIttle- and it was great revenge on the reporters
in the room, all of whom sat stoned faced last year, as Colbert took them to task for being stenographers. God, Rich Little sucked. And all of them had to sit through it. No one even talked to him afterwards, except Tony Snow, who probably thought that junior high humor was funny, as did George and Laura. So I am very satisfied tonight after watching this. George and Laura LOVED it, everyone else was embarrased, and since these reporters all ripped Colbert apart, it serves them right to have to sit and listen to such sycophantic nonsense at their own dinner. They were bored, they were uncomfortable, maybe they finally realize how great Colbert was to speak truthfully to the King George and Queen Laura.

Soulless hypocrites.

9. we don't have to invade, just toss him over the fence
but it could end up being a volleyball game between us and the Canadians.

2. Rich Little wasn't funny thirty years ago....
I don't imagine he would have been magically transported to the land of good humor in the ensuing years...

4. It was embarrassing
I was embarrased for him. Thankfully, I don't think he noticed how bad he was.

3. I flipped it on, and flipped it off. I decided I couldn't stand to see
Rich Little, the dim one, the Stepford wife, or the press enablers.
So thanks for the review; sounds like I didn't miss a thing!

12. ever heard of the 'carrion necktie' cure?
when farmers have good, effective dog who suddenly develops a hunger for chicken, and nothing stops him from raiding the coops, farmers of old, who valued their dogs, and really never blamed them for their new taste, being dumb animals, would tie a dead chicken to the dog's neck, and let it rot. The dog disliked it, at first, and as the chicken turned into a maggot infested horror, the dog eventually begged the farmer for relief, but....it had to HATE chicken, in order to be cured! In this case, the chicken is the geebush admin, the dog is the gop/bushlovin media and 1/3 rd of US electorate who love bush; the farmer is the people (the final authority) in the purest sense of our democratic ideal...rich little just one little whiff of what them traitors gonna get! hell the ole chicken aint even turned green yet! lol

13. I wonder why Mrs. Xanax and the chimp
were not sitting together? I've been noticing a lot of talk in the tabloids about their marital troubles....and even talking divorce. I don't pay too much attention to tabloids, but it seems like they are hitting it pretty much on the mark.......dim son's behavior,Mrs. Stepford staying at a distance.... Anyone else hearing anything? I can't understand why she stays with that moron.

19. Oh really? Interesting. I didn't see this one. Only a brief MSNBC break-in
for bush's thankfully brief comments before introducing Rich Little. They cut away, back to regular programming, just as Rich Little was coming forward to take the podium. If that was him, that is. It was a wide shot so I didn't see him in close-up, but what I could see made me wince. If that was Rich Little, it sure didn't look like him. Looked like he'd had 30 years of face work or something, a la Joan Rivers, to the point that he no longer looked like himself. Pretty sad when you have to turn to entertainment from the Ed Sullivan era to make sure you'll be safe at one of these things, and won't risk upsetting His Lordship. Rich Little is as over as bush is.

But then again, I seem to recall that bush announced he wouldn't be making any jokes because of what happened this week at Virginia Tech. Perhaps with Rich Little, too, that was the theme of the evening.

15. That was painfully embarrasing, wasn't it. & Pickles at a SEPARATE table?
She's always been next to Shrub before. Could those rumors of Shrub-drinking, divorce, counseling, Pickles-leaving be TRUE???!!1

Whew, that LITTLE was smarmy. How about that cheap shot at COLBERT.

GONZALES's true crime has always been that he's in over his head, the very emblem of Shrub himself, and the mediocrity of the night highlighted this.

So the WHCA is only going to viciously gig Dem presidents and let Shrubs skate (the same way they cover him)? They need to put this dinner out of its misery.

18. Wow, they really were at separate tables?
I've heard the rumors, but haven't paid that much attention. You'd think SOMEBODY would be smart enough to know how odd this would look. There may be another explanation, but still, "perception is reality" in politics.
