Because it produces absolutely NOTHING for the Americans. It produces nothing but PTSD and mental illness for the soldiers who have fought the wars (both of them). It's time to refocus on priorities. We are the taxpayers, we should have the absolute right to SAY exactly what we want.

First, we need to pass legislation to remove the error of "corporate personhood" - it was an error by a lowly clerk that completely misinterpreted the decision. It needs to be clear that the corporations have no right to lobby, no rights to ANYTHING at all whatsoever, no rights to contribute to campaigns of any form. Corporations do NOT have DNA, and therefore is NOT a person. It cannot eat, breathe, shit or piss. It needs to be corrected for the last 123 years, since 1886. Have the Senate and Congress think for one fucking minute - does Europe, Canada, Asia, Middle East have corporate personhood concepts in their countries. Ask them if they can find it in their statutes.

Second - We are spending billions at seven times the nearest country in defense (China). If Obama wants to make an effort to show that we are a very peaceful nation - we should cut all but equivalent of the amount of money on defense to match China - we do not need to show that we have the big planes, rockets, missile, nuclear weapons to overcompensate for their tiny genitals, if you will. The money saved on defense could be spent on healthcare, infrastructure, education - these are the national security. Weapons and missiles are not national security issues. The countries KNOW we can defend easily. I don't care if we're percieved "weak" on defense. 7 times spent on defense and very little on everything else shows me that we're not spending our money wisely. I'm a taxpayer, just like you and me, but 99% of it goes to buying the next giant testicular-sized missle, and less than 1% goes for anything else.

Third - we have too many military bases all over the states, even places that aren't strategically important - oh, like Offutt Air Base, home of the National Strategic Command - consolidate with NORAD and save dollars; since when is Omaha, Nebraska (the armpit of the United States) so important than oh, say - Los Angeles, California? Why do we need to have military bases in the middle of the United States who don't share the border with other countries. It's perfectly understandable on coast/border states, but certainly not in a landlocked state like Nebraska, Kentucky, Tenneessee, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Missouri, Kanasas, Colorado, Utah, Nevada and Arkansas (I'm sure there are more, but these are right on the top of my mind) - these are the military bases that needs to be cut or shut down. I'm giving you the general idea, here folks, on why every Rethuglican Senators or House members want to save their pork for defense. It's time to end the pork spending on useless crap.

That ain't right.

Fourth and finally - Fuck the Republicans whining. It seems like everything we try to do in Congress, the Rethugs whine. They've had their power for over 30 years, and look where the fuckups got us to today. President Dwight D. Einsenhower got it right - beware of the MIC people. We need to put our feet down and tell the Obama people that not only their failed DLC ideas are pissing the real voters looking for change - remember, we didn't even want 4 more years of Chimp. It certainly looks like the case today.

My solution: Remove Harry Reid from Majority Leader - put Bernie Sanders (yes, you heard me right) as a Majority Leader with balls to get the job done. He'll kick DLC, Blue Dog, and Conservadem's asses in line. If necessary, he could threaten everyone with nuclear option (remember the Republican nuclear option threat - it's time that we use them - and destroy the filibuster as it is.) Unfortunately DLC is "leading" and is obstructing the moves that needs to be accomplished.

1. All wars

All wars must be revenue neutral!

If they can force that requirement on something all Americans need to be healthy and secure, why can't they force the same requirement on unnecessary wars of choice?

Rationally speaking, and all that, you know.

2. I'm not an expert, but I would guess that having strategic command centers in NE and

other "middle" states, helps us to protect the entire country. Less "travel time"?
