GOP get their platform from rich people who worked it back from 1. not wanting to pay taxes and resulting in policy position like gay hate, abortion nay, no taxes, no regulation. They aren't the party of the people they just throw them a little meat at times (NRA) or (patriotism "FREEEEEEEEDOM").

We Democrats are the party of the people. I knew that but just really like your friends quote.
