When will the democratic majority end NAFTA?
You'd think that would be the least they could do after screwing up health care.

when the Pope is no longer a Catholic.

4. I'm starting to think that they aren't going to do anything constructive
they are too busy twisting the knife into our backs and collecting corporate payouts to actually do any good.

I agree, though -- it would solve a lot of problems.

7. Is this a serious question?
When for some unforeseen reason it benefits corporate America to do so. Not a second sooner.

8. Another prime example of "let's pass something, anything, and we'll fix it later"
I don't know if people recall that when NAFTA was in the late stages of passing, legitimate concerns were brought up about worker rights, environmental considerations, and other topics dear to the progressive heart. We were told to sit back, be patient, that it was more important to show our good faith to our valuable trading partners in Canada and Mexico. We'll take care of those union organizing rules . . . later. Pollution, who pays and who cleans up will be dealt with, oh, just anytime. We'll have "side agreements" coming out the wazoo, just you wait and see.

Well, it's been nearly 15 years, and this morphodite piece of shit legislation hasn't been modified except to provide big corporations more access to money with less accountability. And I'm hearing the exact same reassurances about the health care bill this year.

12. You say democratic majority, but in reality we don't have a
true majority. There are too many blue dog dems in the mix to call this a true majority. And comments making broad generalizations about the democratic party being in the corporate pocketbook made me recheck which board I was on.......then I remembered that I never visit repub boards, yet I sure felt like I was on one.

19. How has our majority shown you any reason to believe they can accomplish anything? They're their
own worst enemy. We can't even blame the rethugs since there's no mathematical possibility that the GOP can stop them.
