Cool! Franken just made Lieberman shut up.
Wouldn't give him anymore time to finish his speech.

9. That's about it.
Franken is serving as the President Whatever today. He told Lieberman that his time was up. When Weaselman asked for more, Al objected. McCain said that nobody has ever objected in the 20 some years he's been in the Senate.

time to start kicking ass and taking names, this year of living politely has proven nothing gets done in Congress when you are voted in to be the people's advocate but you are too nice to do your job properly.

what is it they say about nice guys finishing last? *

*aggressive but cordial works for me... go Franken!

14. You go, Al! You're a testament to the caucus system and its
ability to put candidates up for election. I hope that Democrats in other states learn from what happened in Minnesota and show up to turn the Democratic Party into a Liberal Party again. It worked for Al Franken. It can work elsewhere.

23. Aren't you all damn glad Franken held on.
Even tho the republicans funneled all kinds of money to Coleman and the big a**hole wouldn't let the people's will win, Franken finally got the seat he was voted in for...and we are better off for it. He makes up big time for the pissant Bachmann. We Minnesotans are proud of him.

Sanders in the senate. They don't mind kicking butt. They are for the people. And those like Weiner and Grayson in the house.

28. Lieberman/McCain - get tough creme puffs cause if they think it's over it is just begun

It's time to start fleshing out Lieberman's relationship with BigPharma, BigPharma's plant they had on his staff, his BigPharma wife, and the vaccine producers he is able to aggrandize through his chairmanship at HS - Lieberman can tender the deal with crocodile tears, but he needs to start paying some price for his studied duplicity

33. We need to start thinking seriously about a candidate such as Franken or Graysen for Pres.
If Dems could for once get behind someone who is proven to have cajones we wouldn't feel betrayed every time we "won" an election.
