Everyone Keeps Asking; "What Do We Do Now?" Simple... |
|
Obama has let us down - hard.
Democrats cuddled up to their actual Constituents - corporations and the wealthy, and our Dems are not even trying to hide this fact any longer.
Broken promises.
Broken dreams.
Broken lives.
So what do we do now?
The answer to this question is very simple:
DON'T PARTICIPATE IN THE PLUTOCRACY.
Stop everything - stop paying bills, buying stuff, going to work, to school - to anything.
Get into the streets, and don't stop protesting until we force the kind of change we require.
Short of this - NOTHING can stop the plutocracy that has as willing participants pretty much every Dem in Congress, and our last hope, Mr. Obama.
So - will you stop participating - or will you rely on bitching at/pressuring the same people who put us here to begin with?

2. I didn't say it was easy - just simple. |

What do you suppose is happening to all of those uninsured people, all of those homeless people, who will die today because WE DO NOTHING to save them? Hmmm??
So save me your self-concerned platitudes.
We already eat our own.

12. No, bad idea: kuru would be considered a pre-existing condition. |
|
And insurers could charge one 50% more for having it.
Kill the bill!

3. We bend over and take it..., just like we always have. |
|
Even when we think we have the government in place to make real changes -- it can't happen. What more can be done?? Without term limits and campaign finance reform, money will talk and influence everyone. What power does the voter have anymore? Government by the people is a pipe dream, now.

4. Because we still participate in it. |

If we stop, what can the corporate overlords do about it? Kill some of, jail some of us. I have risked my life for this country more than once, as a soldier.
I'll do it again ANY DAY to protect our ideals and Constitution.

5. So in an economy where everyone is desperate for jobs, you want people to give up their jobs? |

They'll be filled in six seconds flat. The only people who will suffer are the unemployed people on the streets.

but I dropped my health insurance (BCBS) last year, I boycott as many large corps as I can and buy local and produce my own as much as possible. We CAN work together and there is much we can do, without the support of the gov't, to change the tide...

11. And therein lies our mutual problem. |
|
Who will risk theirs, and their own, for the rest of us?
Will you risk it all? I have, willingly, as a soldier, and am willing to do so again. My wife owns a small business, and she will close the doors on day one of any organized effort to overthrow the plutocracy.
I WILL GIVE MY LIFE FOR THIS, NO QUESTION.
For what good is a life like this, if it means an even worse lot for our children, and their children?
I'm willing to go first - are any of you?
