What makes this story even more funny is the fact that this guy routinely goes on TV and tells his "flock" of lemmings that all they need to do in order to get, literally, EVERYTHING they want is just have faith (oh, and they have to go through him too). You'll think I'm kidding when I say this, but I'm 100% serious when I say, on this guy's TV show, he asks people to write down all their debts on a piece of paper, and he'll burn the paper and all their debts will be forgiven and/or paid off by God. The spot is accompanied by several "testimonials" of people who actually DID allow Rod Parsley to burn their debts, and then a couple weeks later, they receive a mysterious check in the mail (with no indication from whence it came or from whom) in the exact amount that they owed, and other nonsensical stories like this. And what makes the story even MORE fall-down funny is the fact that this guy is one of the most prominent Religious Right Whackos in the country (I'm pretty sure he's prayed for the death of Obama, and I know for a fact that he has PRAISED the Holocaust), and he's classifying his money problems as an "attack" by demonic forces (when the truth of the matter is that he got his ass sued by parents of a child that got ASSAULTED by one of his daycare workers).

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
The Rev. Rod Parsley sat in his cavernous, dark sanctuary and pleaded with his flock via video camera.
He described a "diabolically, demonically inspired financial attack that I've faced in recent months" and called it the most serious of his 30-year career.
He said he needs to raise money by the "unavoidable deadline" of Dec. 31 or the ministries of World Harvest Church on the Far East Side will be threatened.
In an episode of Breakthrough, Parsley's TV show, posted Tuesday on www.rodparsley.com, the preacher appealed to the viewers' personal struggles, offering blessings in exchange for donations.
