Axelrod on PBS Newshour with Lehrer - not impressive. |

He is ducking questions. He completely ducked when Lehrer asked him about how much negativity for the bill is coming from the left. Axelrod fumbled it - something like "well the president supported a public option but we couldn't cobble it together.". "People poll against the bill, but they are positive when polled about the contents". etc
I respect Axelrod, he is smart, he was brilliant during the campaign. He is not doing Obama any positive service being run out to try to defend what we are currently seeing.

1. He hasn't lost his smarts, so something else is at play. |
|
During the primary campaign, his candidate was able to match the funding of a divisive opponent (HC), and in my opinion, THAT (having the doh re mi) + a divisive opponent + the promises he made + a weak GOP = election as President.
I don't see any brilliance in Axelrod. What exactly is it that makes you fee he is?

Yes, when asked if they favored people having the choice of a public option they could select, the support was overwhelming.
