The health care insurance companies don't want it because it might pass, and they control the voting majority in "both" parties! Money talks, and they have bought the votes they need to stop it!

they were upset because we held up a handful of Bush's judges, and threatened to go nuclear on us to get Bush's most radical judges appointed.
Kind of remember many of us supporting filibusters then.
