Fort Hood suspect moved out of ICU
Fort Hood suspect moved out of ICU

SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- U.S. Army psychologist Nidal Hasan, accused in the deadly Fort Hood shootings, is out of intensive care in San Antonio, his defense lawyer says.

Defense lawyer John Galligan told ABC News Wednesday while Hasan is no longer in the intensive care unit at Brooke Army Medical Center, the Army major is permanently paralyzed from injuries suffered in November's shooting spree.

"I guess you could call that improvement," Galligan said of Hasan's transfer to a private room, "but he'll be suffering for the rest of his life. He'll have paralysis for the rest of his life."

Hasan, who has no sensation from the chest down, was shot at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, Nov. 5 after he allegedly opened fire, killing 13 people and wounding dozens more.

Galligan said Hasan, 39, has partial use of his hands and is able to converse.

2. So what was the latest consensus here?
Does he deserve death sentence or not?

3. Depends on your view of death, I guess
as opposed to, say, living with extremely limited mobility, in a completely helpless state, surrounded by people who wish you were dead, and knowing you have killed (or at least caused the death of) 13 people.

I'm still hoping for answers from him - and dead people don't talk (except in movies).

I'm opposed to the death penalty on principle, but in his case, I'd say no - he does not deserve it.

6. Are you saying he doesn't deserve it on principle or he didn't do enough to deserve it?

5. Note that the Hasan murders at Ft. Hood are taking on some odd aspects as
Jeff Gates will gladly explain. That situation is ready to explode.

In January 2003, Secret Service Agent Richard Sierze interrogated Mel Rockefeller at his home in Fresno, California after he sent an email to Florida Governor Jeb Bush. The email said, in effect, that if the governor’s brother (President George Bush) did not interview him on a public record prior to invading Iraq, he would do his best to ensure that lawful means were deployed to see the president executed for treason by a firing squad.

Agent Sierze should be interviewed to see if, in retrospect, he agrees that—had this advice been followed—the war in Iraq may well have been prevented. To date, no one with line responsibility has interviewed Mel Rockefeller on a public record. Why? The answer to that question would reveal those responsible for this ongoing deception.

....
The victims of these serial deceptions, including the families of those murdered in November at Fort Hood, may have a wrongful death cause of action against those with line responsibility who aided these operations by failing to engage the Rockefeller record in a timely fashion.
