Joe Trippi Joins Fox News

Joe Trippi is joining Fox News as a contributor.

The Swamp reports that the Democratic consultant and former Howard Dean campaign manager will begin as an on-air contributor on January 1.

Trippi is not the first Democratic operative to sign on as Fox News contributors; past Democratic contributors to the network have included Howard Wolfson and Harold Ford, Jr.

2. I agree. I have mixed feelings about contributing to the
legitimacy of Fox News, but if it's going to be the most watched news channel, we need some democratic voices over there.

4. Me tool. Reminds me of when Kucinich did it.
Didn't much like that, either.

5. Dennis was never a paid Fox commentator
Trippi is not doing a guest spot as a political figure on Fox, he is joining their staff as a paid on air talker. Dennis Kucinich has never been employed by FoxNews or any other news organization.
Making stuff up is just naff. All political figures have been on Fox, including Obama, Axelrod, Plouffe and the whole of the administration. The whole DLC too. As guests, there with an agenda to push. Not as employees of FoxNews.

7. Still, it is not the same thing at all. Trippi is doing what Rove
and Ford Jr have done. What Dennis did was what Obama and both Clintons and every elected official of any Party has done, appear on a News program as a guest. It is simply not the same as working for that program or network, be it Fox or CNN or whomever. It is as different as night and day, as different as a client is from a spouse.
I also am not happy seeing people I like on FoxNews. Because I feel for them. Not because I think they are working for Fox like Rove, or Trippi, or Ford. Also, you see, FoxNews hires the DLC types, and that hiring says much about both parties. They would not hire DK and he would not take the gig. Both things are true. Trippi and Ford took it, as did Rove. That is also true.
