Don't worry. The health ins. cos. will be tightly regulated to keep them honest. |

America has such a wonderful history of controlling the corporations, ya know....
Oil companies, broadcast companies, banks, WalMart, drug companies, phone companies, power companies, cable companies, the auto industry, food & big agra, you name it and the gubmint's got 'em all sewed up tight as a drum and acting in the public interest. Hard to see how they can even make a profit with all those regulators breathing down their necks.
FUCK!

1. Yup. Anyone who buys that shit deserves what they're gonna get. |
|
But the rest of us deserve better. And we're not going to get a damn thing.

Can you say 'death spiral'? Rahm Emanuel can neither say it nor recognize it.

5. Yes. Like the well regulated and closely managed "defense" industry and the CIA. |

9. We have no business regulating that industry. |
|
Insurance companies should be free to deny care to anyone for any reason. They should be free to refuse to cover whomever they choose. They should be free to deny payment for covered services, or cover only services of their choosing. Free to charge whatever they like. Free to impose whatever annual caps and whatever lifetime caps they want. Anything to maximize profit.
And we should be free to buy in to medicare if we don't want their shoddy product.

What's the answer? If you get more regulation, it's more than those companies wanted.

11. How in the hell can you "keep" them honest if they aren't honest in the first place? |
