Now that healthcare's been shoved up our collective arses, can we prosecute war criminals? |
|
I guess not, "more important things to do". I wonder what the next "important" thing to do will be other than prosecute the worst political criminals this country has ever seen?

7. That's a good guess, which leads to looking at the GOP platform in the election |
|
of 2008 for further "important" things our so-called leaders will be working on. Maybe we'll start a huge "drill drill drill" campaign? Uggggg.

Next you'll be asking for rainbow pooping unicorns..
Edited to add: And I forgot, it's health *insurance* that we just got rammed, health *care* is entirely another matter.

After a few compromises necessary to build bipartisan support and to placate Democratic Senators uncomfortable with the word "criminal," they are near agreement on a bill, the 2009 Punish the War Criminals Act, which would make the entire week of July 4th National George W Bush Week, would replace The head of Abraham Lincoln in the Lincoln Monument with the head of Dick Cheney, and would mandate that all Americans contribute 17% of their gross annual income to the Donald Rumsfeld Known Unknowns Exhibit at the Smithsonian (now to be known as the Pat Dobson Museum of Creation Science and Industry). Obama gave a brief address on the issue today before departing Copenhagen, saying that while the part of the bill calling for prosecution of war criminals had to be removed at Joe Lieberman's quite reasonable assistance, and that the oversight provisions were eliminated because "the former members of the Bush Administration are quite capable of overseeing themselves," that this act is "real prosecution, real punishment and real crime."
If anyone doesn't like the terms of the bill, it is probably because they are "damned lefty fringe wacko progressive extremist terrorist motherfuckers," according to White House bouncer Rahm Emanuel.
