On his show Friday, Rush Limbaugh warned his listeners that 'if we don't pound Iran into submission at some point they are going to get the bomb.'

'Unhappy with Obama's 'appeasement mentality,' Limbaugh insisted that the only choice was to go to war:

"'Let's be blunt here: the only way to stop them is to destroy the Iranian regime, the mullahs, and that can only be accomplished through war. And by war I don't mean ground troops; I mean massive bombing raids intended to destroy every one of the key targets.'"

There's a little something called the Straits of Hormuz. 40 percent of the world's oil passes through them. The Iranians can just sit on the beach and practically spit at passing tankers and aircraft carriers. Of course, anti-shipping missiles are more effective - and Iran has thousands of them.

It would take hundreds of thousands of ground troops just to occupy the Iranian coast.

They can mount those missiles either on ground-based rocket launchers or sling them on the wings of their aircraft and blow up targets in air strikes, such as oil tankers.

Incidentally, it was designated "Sunburn" by NATO because they're fully capable of carrying nuclear warheads. They were originally meant to vaporize American aircraft carriers in the event of a world war with the US.
