What will it take to get you to fight for the people? If you just tell us, I'm sure we can match whatever you're getting from the insurance agencies, the pharma companies, the financial institutions, et al. There are MILLIONS of us, after all... and I'm sure we'd all be happy to kick in at least $5 a piece or so in order to have you actually working FOR us instead of doing everything in your power to ensure that we stay as fucked as we currently are.

$5 times roughly the 200 million or so we could get to contribute...that's a BILLION dollars, Mr. President. Think about it. If that's not enough, we can probably get more. All you have to do is go on TV and name your price.

I can only assume from the way that Obama is systematically and enthusiastically fucking over the American people that he's being paid to do it. I can't imagine any other explanation for his actions. I mean, who really says to themselves, "Hey, I'm going to invest a huge amount of time and money in getting to the highest office in the land, just so I can undermine every single protection that Americans have against corporate self-interest...all just for shits and giggles!"?

You wrote your OP from the point of view that Obama IS doing this and offered to pay him off not to do it.

That you cannot imagine something other than your speculation is not evidence that what you speculate actually occurs. Logic fails.
