Let's not fight with each other, eh?
There's general consensus on everything that's messed up (except for Global Warming and the existence of souls, of course) and we all helped screw the pooch.

When we stop fighting each other and recreate our common cause and reclaim our commonwealth, we might get somewhere.

That common cause was the real "hope" and "change we can believe in," 'member?

You can apologize for previous ill behaviors as well, if you like.

2. I found this priceless comment at FDL.

"Every two years or so, we progressives go to the polls and face a choice between voting for a party of insane homophobic warmongers who want to take our money and give it to corporations, rich people, bombs, and jails, or voting for the Republicans. So we hold our noses and vote for war, jails, discrimination, unaffordable health care, planetary destruction, and massive wealth transfers to the rich, and we think we’ve done just great because at least we didn't vote for Republicans."

So very true...

5. Yes, it's been lesser of evils for some time
IMHO the blatant, mercenary scenario you describe has occurred more recently.

19. I agree - Dems were the lesser of two evils until 1999.
When Nader started the "there is no difference" between Gore and Bush tripe it was not true but many bought it.

27. The people who "bought" "there is no difference" "tripe" are Dems who still blame Nader
not those who actually listened to what he was saying. At that point, there was no indication that Gore would not continue down the path we've been on since Reagan, which Clinton continued, which Obama is continuing.

This "there is no difference" shit is like Limbaugh saying what "Liberals" think in a completely misleading way.

Drop the cliche. NOW would be a very good moment for Democrats to take SOME/ANY responsibility for that election that their candidate WON which they blame Nader for him "losing."

I have never thought that Nader cost Gore the election. Gore did it all on his own.

7. what if you find out those you want to compromise with want to steal all the marbles
and give them to the bully down the street?

Compromise requires two parties acting in good faith.

That is not the case with DLC/Blue Dogs. They are acting corruptly and trying to give the marbles to the bully.

36. we need to find a scapegoat that we can all fight together
right now that seems to be Obama for at least 70% of DUers.

Hmm. First we are gonna hafta fight over who should be the scapegoat.

My vote would be for Nader, :hide: but you'd probably hit me.

Hey, what about Rahm? Everybody hates Rahm. Or Lieberman.
