Want to do a protest at Ben Nelson's house or office during Christmas when he's there? Wrap yourselves up in burka like sheets, preferably with American flag colors, like red and white stripes on one or stars on a blue background on the other. I don't like using the whole flag as clothing because it's a bit disrespectful, but using parts of the field as a decoration gets the idea across. Even better stick pillows on your stomach to simulate pregnancy and stage a noisy sit in so that he can't get any rest no matter where he is. As a matter of fact the men can get into the act too because veiling will cover mustaches and beards.

Be prepared for a bunch of idiot RW Christians and teabaggers to oppose you, but I know you guys can stay classy while they work out their sociopathic agendas. Also, if you think this is a crappy idea, say so. I know I'm sitting here in California armchair quarterbacking.

I think using another culture's dress to protest actions by another culture is odd and mixes metaphors in a confusing way.
