Swallow Hard and Support the Healthcare Bill
I am disappointed, to say the least, for all the same reasons many of you have posted about already. At this point, I believe passing the legislation is very important. Improving it is a battle for another day. We are falling right into republican hands if it is not passed. Everyone hear knows the media rants they will use against the democrats to regain control of Congress.

Jobs, jobs, jobs will give us the ability to maintain, or even improve, control in Congress.....then we can work on improving health care.

2. No.
This travesty of a "healthcare" bill.. meaning care for
corporations, special interests, and corrupted legislators..
should die a swift and painless death.

12. If you can explain to me how this HCR piece of crap differs in any way from
Mafia style and Mafia mandated "protection rackets" I will begin to swallow.

But like another suggested - first pls pass the vaseline.

14. I wish I could.
I just do not think there is any other way for success to occur down the road. It certainly will not take place if it is voted down and the reps. regain control of congress.

21. What Democrats?
Edited on Sat Dec-19-09 05:28 PM by truedelphi
Except for the members of the Progressive Caucus in the House, are there any Dems in office.
If you got a chance to watch the Bill Moyers show last night, you see that all this Rahm-controlled Administration is about is this: the stamping of the "Dem label brand on the Sell out politicians of the higher end of this party.

Obama and almost all the rest are only interested in keeping the Big Money Interests alive, while pretending to us that we the average person matter.

The show can be found in its entirety here: http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/index-flash.html

20. Here is the problem with thinking that down the road things will be changed
Edited on Sat Dec-19-09 04:51 PM by truedelphi
Obama has already said that he wants this done and he wants it done now.
He adds to that statement that he doesn't want to have to have any other President deal with Health Care.

Translation: This is the bill that Industry wants from him and this is the bill that he and buddy Rahm have agreed to offer.

If you think that industry controlled the discussion BEFORE WE HAND THEM AN ADDITIONAL 30 million insured Americans, how bad will industry control discussion a year from now?

A person only needs to look at what this Administration did to fellate the Big Banksters to understand what this Administration is about.

Oh and I guess that if I don't include on additional truth I iwll be called on it - Obama will yes indeed-y and Bob's your uncle take the time next year to be admonishing the Big Insurers to treat us nice Americans decently, just like he admonished the Big Banksers earlier this week.

15. Not just no, but HELL NO
I am not willing to throw women's rights under the bus. I am not willing to consign the middle, working and poor classes to debt serfdom. I don't want to see insurance premiums rise to 27% of the average family's income.

This bill is not worth the paper it's printed on, and it should be killed, now.
