U.S Kill 63 Civilians, 28 Children in Yemen Air Strikes

Yemen's Houthi fighters say scores of civilians, including many children, have been killed in US air-raids in the southeast of the war-stricken Arab country.

The Shia fighters on Friday reported the deaths of 63 people, including some 28 children, in the southeastern province of Abyan.

Almost 90 people were also injured in the attacks by US warplanes in the village of Bakazam, they added.

Yemen's southern provinces have recently been the scene of US airstrikes which Washington claims to be aimed at uprooting an al-Qaeda cell operative in the Persian Gulf state.

But the residents of the area dismiss the claims that al-Qaeda members are being targeted in the US attacks, while a Yemeni lawmaker has also called for an investigation into the raids.

5. If, as has been claimed, we were requested to make this...
strike, it does not absolve us from the crime of invading a sovereign nation.

No matter what, we are now at 'war'(undeclared)with 3 countries and chomping at the bit to get involved with Iran(#4).

We frankly do not have the troops to do this.

4. If Obama approved the air strike then he should make it all better by saying, "I'm sorry".

When you kill innocent children and civilians, apologies ring hollow. Since Obama has young children he should be able to understand.

7. I am ashamed
That's it, I'm ashamed.

I don't blame others for hating us. I hate us.

As I wrote in another post, why don't we just hijack a few planes and fly them into buildings full of people?

9. Air strikes: Clean, in, out, low risk of casualties
And practically guaranteed to wipe out a bunch of civilians. I wonder what the reaction would be from the "America, Fuck Yeah" crowd if a foreign country bombed a U.S. population center without warning? Oh wait; I know what their puerile reaction would be.

10. And by their rationale, countries like Iraq and Afghanistan (and now Yemen)
would have every right to do so.

16. How would you feel if another country bombed us?
"Cuba kills 63 U.S. civilians, 28 children in Florida air strikes"

Florida's Cuban Liberation movement said scores of civilians, including many children, have been killed in Cuban air-raids in the southeast of the muggy state.

The Anti-Castro movement on Friday reported the deaths of 63 people, including some 28 children, in the southeastern county of Dade.

Almost 90 people were also injured in the attacks by Cuban warplanes in the village of Boca Raton, they added.

Florida's southern counties have recently been the scene of Cuban airstrikes which Havana claims to be aimed at uprooting an anti-Castro cell operative in the Gulf of Mexico state.

But the residents of the area dismiss the claims that anti-Castro members are being targeted in the Cuban attacks, while an American lawmaker has also called for an investigation into the raids.

How would you feel about Cuba? What would the American response be? I'm not saying that we need to not defend our national interests but it seems to me that these haphazard airstrikes against rural villages do nothing to help us and everything to build hatred against our country, which just makes things worse in the long run.

19. I'm confused here.
The article says Shia fighers on Friday reported the deaths of 63. If these people were Shia that were attacked I really don't understand. I always thought al quaida was Sunni??!!?? What are we doing???
