This corporatist HCR bill won't be Obama's Waterloo- it will be his Iraq.
We're going to be paying for this "just do it" mentality of our leadership for decades to come.

They didn't listen in 2002, and they aren't listening now.


Fortunately, though, I think the two-party system is dying. With the Internet, third parties now have an opportunity to organize and start making real progress.

6. Look at you- unsheathing that keen sense of irony in defense of
giving away hundreds of billions of tax dollars to and forcing Americans to buy into the same industry that brought us to this crisis, the same industry that will continue finding ways to increase their profits on the backs of people who just don't want to die.

Whatever your rationale may be, it's weak and shortsighted. This is pretty clearly the wrong direction to be going in. Like Dean said, this shows, for the future, a commitment to reforming health insurance through the private insurance companies, which isn't going to work.
