A dear friend of mine almost lost sight in one of his eyes because of lack of insurance.
He had to get a county gold card so he could save his sight.

How many other people are in the same boat.

We have money for everything but health care.

The whole thing makes me sick.

I quess the people we voted for in Washington just don't care.

How many people will die before we get a real health care system.

We don't matter, we are not insurance companies CEO's.

Yea, I am pissed about it.

4. His other eye also needs to taken care of.
How much more will it cost because it couldn't of been taken care of sooner.

We are suppose to be happy with what happen today in Washington.

I am not.

I won't forget either.

2. It all comes down to the fact that the wealthy(and those who serve them in BOTH parties)
Edited on Sun Dec-20-09 05:09 AM by Ken Burch
see the healthcare status quo, and the economic status quo as a way to "cull the herd".

To them(gratuitous antiabortion rhetoric to the contrary)working people(that is, anyone below the station of those who oppose universal healthcare)really don't have a "right to life". We don't have any right to be well, to be happy, to even continue breathing. And, to them, those who go blind, go deaf, develop cancer or heart trouble, become paralyzed, or die before their time simply demonstrate personal inferiority.

It's the same for those who are laid off by smug corporate jerks at Christmas and end up homeless in the snow. If you lose in the game, you didn't really deserve to win. And you're family deserve to die out.

It's greed and the "master race" mindset all rolled into one.

And somewhere out there, Ayn Rand is giggling her spiteful helmet-haired head off about the whole thing.

but not one cent for the people. Those billions come from our tax dollars. It's time to change things. Time for a real change.
