Crazy
When did people start buying the nonsense you shouldn't comment on legislation till it is passed and signed.

The time to be outraged and lobby is when legislation is being debated, by the time it passes, there is nothing anyone can do about it.

2. Nobody bought that argument during the fight for Civil Rights.
One of Martin Luther King's most famous statements in the early 1960's was a pamphlet entitled "Why We CAN'T Wait".

At that time, speaking out meant risking getting buried under an earthen dam. Yet people did. And Jim Crow laws were erased BECAUSE they spoke out and challenged timid triangulating politicians like JFK from below, and because they were even willing to stand up to a former segregationist like LBJ.

Speak out, and you can win. Keep silent, and you lose.

3. Once you see the bill you'll be happy STFU
Honestly when their is a turd in the punch bowl you don't drink all the punch till the turd is gone, you make some new punch. Or at least take the turd out before you ask people to drink it.

4. Agreed. The Party apparatchiks want us to shut up because we're making them look bad.
But the time to speak if we want to change anything is NOW.

Thus, I say:

Kill the bill.

Forcing people to buy insurance is no more the answer to a failed health care system than forcing people to buy houses is the solution to homelessness.

5. As with all perpetual liars, it's all about buying that extra time
I remember well, those "This isn't the final bill. The strong public option will be in the final bill!" days of summer.

And all those posters who said in no uncertain terms they, too, would not support a bill without a public option.

And then the Senate went and made liars out of them.

We're still doing "This isn't the final bill!" six months later?

Hrm. What are we on now? "Fool me eight times . . ."?
