4. What does "approve" mean? I would definitely vote for it. |
|
But it's far from my ideal conception of health care reform legislation. "Medicare for All", coupled with a greater public involvement in the provision of health care services, is my own preference.

5. It's a disaster, but with a little makeup... |
|
you'll be cheering this transfer of taxpayer dollars to the insurance industry. Of course this thing isn't set to begin failing until 2015 or so, but the status quo is further cemented for the powers that be.
I don't believe it's going to insure 30 million. And the price for those it does cover is way too high. I do think we'll be seeing more community health clinics as a substitute for primary care, and some huge campaign donations for certain Dems from the guys who'll be getting the humongous bonuses the next few years.
And now they can run home for the holidays and declare victory for themselves. I'm feeling sick again.

6. This bill is far worse than doing nothing. |
|
Kill the bill. Forcing people to buy insurance is no more the answer to a failed health care system than forcing people to buy houses is the solution to homelessness.

7. The talking idiots on the television keep repeating the mantra |
|
that the bill extends health care to 30 million people. This just in: it does not. Unless they slipped Medicaid for all into the thing at the last minute. You buy the product from the same industry that caused the problem or you pay a fine. That is not "extending coverage."
