what have the republicans contributed towards healthcare reform
Edited on Sun Dec-20-09 10:24 AM by luckyleftyme2
Since president Obama has taken office all I have seen from the right is the same lock step mentality that devastated their party in 2006!
Show me one thing that Mitch (THE BITCH) McCONNELL OR J. Bohner (I'll bone ya) has done to contribute towards a needed healthcare reform bill- nada-nada nix -nothing -but they have done everything in their power to scuttle it!
I don't know what polls these guys are listening to,what hoopla media circus the republican owned circuits are controlling- but I can tell you that the rights membership is bailing.
and the selected question polls are so skewed that I told the ABC one to stick it because they didn't even have brains enough to hide the obvious skew- you could only answer in the negative!
In my state a staunch republican gave up his party and webt independent because he was ashamed of the lock step mentality the leaders of the republican party has shown towards healthcare!
AND IT IS HAPPENING IN OTHER STATES!!!
KEEP IT UP -SO THE PUBLIC CAN SEE WHO OWNS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!
BIG CORUPTION!

1. Allowing Ins. Cos. to operate across state lines.
Result: Two mega insurers within a decade. (It's pretty close to that now)

Not a good contribution but a contribution nonetheless.

3. They also contributed to highlighting that the Dems had no message
on healthcare...they bungled this from the start...started with incompetence, ended up with worse than nothing.

6. Why, they contributed Ben Nelson and fellow travelers...
and they certainly helped all the others of his ilk.

Would be nice, after all this pretense, if their lobbyist's checks bounced.

4. You are absolutely right, the republicans did everything to block any kind of HCR
and when they asked what their idea was, bonner(bohner), and the republican party didn't come up with sqwat.

1 week before the house voted on HCR, they came up with a several page document which at most would cover 3% of the population

It was the most pathetic piece of nonesense

As bad as the HCR act is, it will be there achilles heal

In addition, I really believe after the HCR act becomes law, it will get amended to include a public or single-payer option, and other issue which are inadequate
