Abortion foes get an ear in congress, but never anti-war voices
Edited on Sun Dec-20-09 12:13 PM by G_j
they are screaming about tax dollars being used for abortions, and congress kisses their feet.

what about the hundreds of billions spent on war, and really killing people?

they listen to the people whose rhetoric results in the murder of doctors.

we find it unacceptable to spend our tax dollars on blowing people, including children, to bloody bits in a foreign country.
but as peace loving people, we don't exist to them.

Oh, never-mind....

1. Women's reproductive rights are always expendable, while war keeps a lot of men in business

2. You damn sure got that right
Talk about irony. I'm so tired of emotional hot button issues dominating over huge issues that effect everybody. I also find it depressing how hard it has become to stay consistently abreast of what actually is going on legislatively, because of omnibus bills that carry who knows how many riders that fly under the radar. Bush was notorious for endorsing a piece of environmental legislation, and following with quiet legislation that gutted what was trumpeted not a week or two before.

5. It seems
That abortion and gay rights are the center piece of any and all bills. Why?? Their opponents make the most noise and get constant media coverage. The anti war effort has been non existent as of late. That will change in March and I encourage anyone that has the time and resources to join up with Peace of the action peaceoftheaction.org Hopefully, there will be enough of us there that the "Liberal Main Stream Media won't be able to ignore us~
